Enrolled Nurse Supported into Practice Programme (ENSIPP)

Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand | Waitaha Canterbury (formerly CDHB) administers the Enrolled Nurse Support into Practice Programme (ENSIPP) is to ensure Enrolled Nursing new graduates commence their careers in New Zealand within a well-supported, safe, environment assisting them to become skilled and confident in their clinical practice by working in partnership with experienced nurses through an ongoing supportive learning process.

Nursing Graduates 2023

Te Whatu Ora – Waitaha Canterbury invite Enrolled nursing graduates to apply for the Enrolled Nurse Support into Practice Programme (ENSIPP), via the ACE Enrolled Nursing Website.

Waitaha Canterbury offers permanent EN employment contracts. A mixture of permanent and fixed term contracts is offered by Canterbury health system community or primary health organisations. Upon the commencement of employment the EN is included in a structured 12-month ENSIP programme.

This 12-month programme closely aligns with the Nursing Entry to Practice programme (NETP) and Nursing Entry to Specialist Practice (NESP). ENSIPP has tailored completion criteria requirements including study day attendance, completion of a relevant Ara course or equivalent, and the successful completion of a competent level PDRP portfolio. The EN will be working with experienced, educated and qualified nurses who will support them in your first year of practice.

Recruitment Assessment Centres

Assessment centres are a recruitment process where EN ACE applicants are interviewed for EN positions within Waitaha Canterbury, partnering organisations, St Georges Hospital and Southern Cross Hospital, Christchurch.

This will run mid-2023.
